Welcome to the website for the South Golden Beach Community Centre.
Our community centre is a lovely hall, ideally located on the corner of Pacific Esplanade and Helen Street in South Golden Beach in the North of Byron Shire. The hall is a pleasant airy space, newly painted with a polished wooden floor and basic kitchen facilities. Adjacent to the beach and a children's playground it is a great space for family events and children's parties as well as adult birthday parties, classes, workshops or seminars.
This site offers details of the program of events at the hall and information for those wishing to hire the hall for a regular class or a one-off event or function.

The more community help that is forthcoming, the further we can stretch the budget by purchasing such things as more established trees, etc. Watch this space for news of future community working bees to plant the garden!! |
We are thrilled to advise that South Golden Beach Community Association (formerly known as South Golden Beach Progress Association) and our hall management committee have secured funding for the completion of a dedicated car parking area in the front of the hall grounds plus picnic furniture, barbecue and landscaping for the hall grounds. The barbecue and furniture have finally been installed. This infrastructure has been welcomed wholeheartedly by residents who will finally have a recreational area in South Golden Beach where they can meet friends, picnic or just find a shady spot to sit, read and have a coffee. The construction of the car park commenced on the 22nd June and is now complete. Now the landscaping phase will commence.
